Frequently asked questions

Will rotating cause quality loss?
90° rotations are lossless in nature, but JPG re-encoding adds a tiny amount. PNG and WebP outputs preserve quality completely on rotation by 90/180/270°.
Why not edit EXIF orientation instead?
EXIF orientation is a hint — many viewers ignore it and show the image rotated wrong. Physically rotating the pixels guarantees the result.
Can I rotate by an arbitrary angle?
Not yet — only 90° increments and flips. Free-angle rotation introduces blur and requires choosing a fill colour, which we may add later.
